AUCKLAND CASTLE in DURHAM

In 2023, County Durham’s Auckland Castle will debut AGLOW. A sparkling 1.5-mile path that will recreate the castle in a new light by illuminating the grounds. Impressive projections on the castle walls, a 100-metre-long star tunnel.

Neon ropes, mirror balls, LED vines, starburst trees, dancing light water fountains. Life-size lit deer among silk flower lanterns—these are just a few of the things that visitors may look forward to.

EDINBURGH’S BOTANIC GARDENS

Edinburgh Botanic Gardens is hosting Christmas at the Botanics again. It has over one million shimmering lights. Guests are welcome to meander along a one-mile light installation path. Pass the famous glasshouses and tree canopies. Ascending a pathway towards lit tree sculptures, incandescent flowers reach toward the stars.
